Our Jobs
As a B Corp™ we are part of a global movement working to benefit people and the planet.

What is a B Corp™?

Certified B Corporations™, or B Corps™, are companies verified as meeting standards for social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
B stands for “benefit”—for people and the planet, not just shareholders.

B Corp™ certification assesses companies holistically. This includes five key areas:

GOVERNANCE

Clear rules, transparent decisions, ethics and sustainability are firmly anchored in our statutes. We report openly on priorities and progress.

Not a plan B

It is a natural step on our journey, which we have been on from the very beginning. B Corp™ certification now makes this commitment visible and provides external confirmation of what we have been working on for a long time. At the same time, it gives us clear guidance for the next steps we are committed to taking.

Deep Dive

Governance

At Marc O’Polo, business decisions follow a management framework that combines strategy, risk assessment and transparency. The vision, mission and sustainability strategy provide guidance and are directly incorporated into operational management. Key issues are regularly reviewed through structured risk and materiality analyses. Behavioural and ethical guidelines give concrete form to this framework in everyday life and are firmly embedded in processes and training courses; clear reporting channels for rule violations complement the system. Marc O'Polo regularly reports on progress and challenges in its sustainability report. Transparency and dialogue with stakeholders are an integral part of corporate governance.

Environment

Marc O’Polo focuses on areas where its business model has significant environmental impacts. The key priorities are materials, chemical processes in manufacturing, as well as energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

A central lever is the use of materials. We are gradually increasing the share of certified, preferred, and recycled materials and are deliberately excluding certain materials. These decisions shape product development and the composition of our collections.

In manufacturing, we implement binding chemical and wastewater management to limit risks from wet chemical processes. In addition, we record energy consumption and emissions in order to drive a gradual decarbonization process through 2030.

Workers

Our corporate culture provides the framework for cooperation and responsibility, characterised by reliability, open dialogue and the conviction that success is based on committed employees. In concrete terms, this is reflected in stable working conditions with clear remuneration structures, additional benefits and binding rules on working hours and co-determination, which creates financial security and predictability. Health and safety are firmly anchored in the organisation:

we promote physical and mental well-being through high occupational safety standards, regular training and preventive measures. We also support development through structured training and feedback formats in order to systematically promote prospects and satisfaction.

Community

For Marc O’Polo, community includes all people connected to the company beyond its own workforce. This particularly includes workers at production partners, as well as broader social issues such as equal treatment and equal opportunities.

A central component is the management of social topics in the supply chain. Marc O’Polo takes a risk-based approach, identifies social risks, and uses monitoring, auditing, and grievance mechanisms to systematically manage working conditions. Industry initiatives and partnerships support this approach.

In addition, we address diversity and equal opportunities both internally and externally through requirements and awareness-raising measures. Social engagement through the support of selected social projects complements this work.

Customers

Marc O’Polo supports its customers with products where quality, safety, and reliability are the focus. To this end, quality assurance and testing processes are in place, complemented by clear information on materials and care.

We formulate product-related claims with deliberate specificity; they refer to the stated characteristics of individual products. Customer feedback is incorporated into the further development of products and services through defined channels. The handling of personal data is structured and protected by internal regulations.

*Certified B Corporation™ is a certification awarded by B Lab, a non-profit, non-governmental organisation, based on a standard developed by B Lab.
The certification confirms compliance with the requirements for social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency set by B Lab. Our certification was granted in accordance with B Corp Standard Version 1.6, which was valid at the time of the audit, and is based on an audit conducted by B Lab.
The Version 2.1 standard published by B Lab, which will apply from 02/2026, provides for independent third-party verification. Against the backdrop of Directive (EU) 2024/825 (‘EmpCo’) on voluntary sustainability labels, we are currently actively preparing for the transition to Version 2.1.
