Stephanskirchen, 11 November 2021 - Marc O’Polo has established itself as a top employer in the German fashion industry, taking second place in the influential Working in Fashion study by TextilWirtschaft. After an excellent fifth place in 2020, the sustainable casual lifestyle brand moves up to a top position in the premium segment this year. Marc O’Polo is the only medium-sized company in the top five.
“This is a great result for our entire Marc O’Polo team," says Markus Staude CFO/CHRO of Marc O’Polo AG. “We are particularly proud that we, as a medium-sized family business, were able to position ourselves in second place among the large international corporations. This excellent ranking confirms that we have been able to communicate clearly, both externally and internally, what we stand for and which path we want to take in the future. On our path of expansion and growth, this is a strong signal, especially for new team members and colleagues.”
The Working in Fashion survey is conducted once a year by industry magazine TextilWirtschaft. Different categories are surveyed to show what is important to employees at work today and what makes a good employer. Marc O’Polo succeeded in positioning itself in the top ranks across all areas in the current study. The company achieved the absolute top value, and thus first place, in the category “Social Responsibility/Sustainable Business”. It also scored particularly well in the areas of “working atmosphere”, “good work-life balance” and “attractiveness of products”, followed by “job security” and “future potential”.
Around 4,400 graduates, young professionals and established professionals took part in the study this year. Marc O’Polo is one of 40 companies that were surveyed.
