Marc O'Polo takes the next step toward delivering exclusively sustainable products by becoming a 'Friend of ZDHC'. With this collaboration, the brand pledges to ban the use of hazardous and environmentally damaging chemicals and to implement the ZDHC MRSL standards across the supply chain.

"Being a 'Friend of ZDHC' is a key part of our vision to become the leading sustainable casual lifestyle brand in the global premium segment. By using the ZDHC Gateway and relevant guidelines, we will work with our suppliers to achieve the goal of using safe chemicals and ensuring a sustainable chemical management system throughout the supply chain”, said Susanne Schwenger, CPO Marc O'Polo AG.

The ZDHC is an association of international companies and organizations working together to eliminate hazardous chemicals from the textile and apparel industry. The association is driven by a shared belief in the need for systemic change in the industry, and that supply chain partners should also adopt ZDHC guidelines, platforms and solutions for their chemical management. The ZDHC Foundation's ‘Roadmap to Zero’ program lays out a clear path to reduce the effects and ensure that the chemicals used in production are safe for people and the planet.
