Stephanskirchen / Germany, June 18, 2019 – As of September 1, 2019, Simone Sommer will assume the position of Division Head Marc O’Polo Pure & Vertical Department at the Premium Modern Casual Brand. Sommer comes from SET Fashion and worked for many years in Paris for renowned fashion brands. She reports to Susanne Schwenger, CPO of Marc O’Polo AG.
The sub-brand MARC O’POLO Pure is positioned in the contemporary sector. “After its successful relaunch, the task of Simone Sommer and her team is to further develop and advance MARC O’POLO Pure and the vertical collections. Simone has the ideal experience for this,“ says Susanne Schwenger, CPO of MARC O’POLO AG. Simone Sommer understands and lives her craft in detail. High creativity, a great passion for materials and excellent product know-how are her hallmarks.
Most recently, Simone Sommer was jointly responsible for all collection-related themes as Head Designer at SET Fashion. Before that, she worked for many years in Paris, with important positions at Balenciaga under the direction of Creative Director Alexander Wang and then under Demna Gvasalia, at Maison Martin Margiela, and at Bless. Prior to Paris, she worked at JOOP!.
