MARC O’POLO opens monothematic concept store in Stockholm

Stephanskirchen/Stockholm. On March 5th, 2020, in Stockholm, MARC O’POLO will open its first monothematic concept store. Inspired by the Swedish roots of the brand, the store combines minimalist design with an innovative concept: The assortment, which consists of select capsule collections and curated monothematic excerpts from the MARC O’POLO collections, changes monthly.

For the launch of the Spring/Summer 2020 campaign, the concept store will exclusively present MODERN ORGANIC PRODUCTs, including garment-dyed denims, iconic oversized sweatshirts and hoodies, rugged overshirts, tees and jumpsuits. All are made of sustainable, natural cotton from controlled organic farming. The result is a consistent edit for women and men, complemented by cool sneakers.

The store concept: Scandinavian, minimalist, clean. An open, straightforward interior design in contrasting black and white leaves room for the overarching collection statements. Reduced to the essential and with a clear focus on the product.

The modern ambience of the space is underlined by object-like, modular furniture construction and by a contemporary contrast of differing haptics and looks. Cool concrete meets light wood. White-painted ceilings, walls and floors contrast with black, linear LED spotlights and filigree bars made of square tubes.

Analog and digital: Three oversized screens play the campaign image videos of the current Spring/Summer 2020 campaign, directed by Mikael Jansson and depicting four strong personalities—Anna Ewers, Fei Fei Sun, Parker van Noord and Keiron Caynes. Design and functionality: Generously proportioned cabins with room-creating, floor-length theatre curtains in light grey and hand-knotted carpets bring cosiness and create a modern break with the clean store design.
