MARC O’POLO EXPANDS RETAIL BUSINESS TO MAKE BRAND EVEN MORE TANGIBLE

Stephanskirchen, February 7, 2019 - To make the brand even more tangible for customers and further connect the online shop with its stationary shops, Marc O’Polo is expanding its retail business. In the Czech Republic, the premium modern casual brand will launch its first flagship store in Prague. In Munich and Warsaw (Poland), the first Marc O’Polo DENIM mono-label stores will be opened.

Entry into the Czech market with own stores
MARC O’POLO opens its first flagship store in the Czech Republic on 28 February, 2019, in a prime location on Wenceslas Square in Prague.
In an area of more than 200 square meters, customers will experience the MARC O’POLO Casual Collection for women and men as well as matching accessories and shoes. Further openings in the Czech Republic are planned. So far, the company has operated two factory outlets in the Czech Republic and is represented in the market by wholesale partners.
 
First MARC O’POLO DENIM Stores
MARC O’POLO starts on February 14th with the first mono-label store opening of Marc O’Polo DENIM, in the Munich Riem Arcades. In an area of about 120 square meters, with a characteristically cool design, the company presents a collection with true denim spirit. In the second quarter, another DENIM store will open in Warsaw (Poland). in the hip shopping center Elektrownia Powisle, a converted power plant.
 
Marc O’POLO’s goal is a cross-channel shopping experience without barriers between online and offline stores. Digital Services are intended to assist in this. A first example is the new edition of the loyalty program MARC O’POLO for Members, with services such as click & collect (order online and pick-up at store), reserve & collect (reserve online at store and pick up there on the same day) and orders from the store that can easily be delivered to your home. The updated programme will start in mid-March.
