Stephanskirchen, 22. October 2019 – The premium modern casual brand Marc O’Polo continues to expand its Eastern European business. After Poland and the Czech Republic, the company is starting out in Romania with two of its own stores and is working on the further development of its partner business. In the Czech Republic, two new stores will follow on the current ones in the coming months.
Not far from Bucharest’s historic centre, in the prestigious Bucuresti Mal, MARC O’POLO is opening a store of approximately 160 square meters for its Premium Modern Casual line, as well as for accessories, shoes and bodywear. A factory outlet store has just opened in the Fashion House Outlet Center in Bucharest.
“Eastern Europe is a central growth market for us. With Romania, we are opening up another important country for us in this region. The two store openings are only the first step,” says Dieter Holzer, CEO of MARC O’POLO AG. “Our own stationary stores offer us the best opportunity to make our brand, and thus our products, a tangible experience for our customers.”
To date, MARC O’POLO has been represented in Romania by wholesale partners. The company is working on opening further stores of its own and on a country-specific online shop. The partner business is also to be expanded further and new distribution channels are to be opened up.
Two new stores in the Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic, too, MARC O’POLO is pursuing further growth. After the successful opening of its first own store, on Wenceslas Square in Prague, and two factory outlets at the beginning of 2019, two more stores will follow in the coming months, one in Chodov, on the outskirts of Prague, and one in Brno.
