MARC O'POLO RECEIVES GERMAN DESIGN AWARD 2023

Marc O'Polo is delighted to receive another award for its new corporate design.

The brand claimed the German Design Award 2023 for outstanding design quality in the category "Excellent Communications Design - Corporate Identity". The German Design Award, organized by the German Design Council, is one of the most prestigious design contests in the world, with around 4,500 submissions from 63 countries for the Design Award 2022. Only initiatives that are truly innovative in the design landscape are recognized.

The concept connects to a wider internationalisation strategy, developed by the brand to express a new modernity. For the development and implementation, the company sought support from the design agency Wiegand von Hartmann. 

"The additional award for the relaunch of our corporate design is truly fantastic and confirms once more how deeply we have embraced the zeitgeist," says Sandro Schramm, Director of Marketing, Licensing & Growth at Marc O'Polo. “Above all, however, it is a great distinction for everyone who worked on it over many months. Launched in autumn/winter 2021, the new brand identity elegantly combines the company's values with the brand's new modernity and Scandinavian roots. The secondary focus is on the design and structure, in addition to the visual and conceptual development. This guarantees brand uniformity, with sufficient differentiation through colours, design elements and monograms. All touchpoints share the same clean, consistent, and Scandinavian-reduced style—from communication to store design, product branding to the members program and the online shop.

In summer 2022, Marc O'Polo received the German Brand Award in the category "Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation - Brand Design Corporate Brand" for the new brand & corporate design as well as product branding.
