First MARC O’POLO DENIM mono-label store opens in Munich.

Stephanskirchen, 18 February, 2019 – The first ever MARC O’POLO DENIM mono-label store opened its doors in Munich’s Riem Arcaden shopping centre on Thursday, February 14th. The premium modern casual brand celebrated the opening on Saturday, February 16th, with drinks, music and a live performance by international art collective TAPE OVER.

#MOPDenim x TAPE OVER. Two artists from the hip Berlin-based crew created exclusive work for MARC O’POLO DENIM, the sub-brand with denim spirit. During the day-long creative performance, the artists drew inspiration from the prints and colours of the Spring/Summer 2019 collection to create eye-catching pieces in the display windows and back area of the store. The result? Trendy tape to be touched.

The new MARC O’POLO DENIM store occupies approximately 120m² on the lower level of the Riem Arcaden. One of the key characteristics of the space is its versatility. Flexible elements such as tables, bars and mannequins can be easily rearranged to present the collection in new ways. Varnished spruce furniture, a rough-screed concrete floor and LED lighting create a bright, modern environment for the women’s and men’s collections, as well as select bags and sneakers. Hidden technology and cool drinks: The MOPD Bar at back serves as inspiration-desk, hang-out area and check-out counter.

Until now, the MARC O’POLO DENIM collection had been presented alongside the main MARC O’POLO collections in stores and shop-in-shop spaces, and on the internet. The second MARC O’POLO DENIM mono-label store is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2019, in Warsaw’s trendy Elektrownia Powisle, a former power-station that has been converted into a shopping centre.
