CHANGE AT HR MANAGEMENT & CENTRAL SERVICES AT MARC O’POLO

Behija Karup, Director of HR & Central Services at Marc O'Polo, is leaving the company at her own request after five years to take on new challenges. Silke Walz, previously Head of HR at the premium casual lifestyle brand, will take over the position.

"I’m sorry to see Behija Karup leave and I wish her all the best for her professional as well as personal future. Behija has been instrumental in our transformation process over the past few years, and thanks to her great work, we are now one of the most attractive employers in our industry," says Markus Staude-Skowronek CFO/CHRO of Marc O'Polo AG. "I am very pleased that we can seamlessly pass the baton within our ranks to Silke Walz. Alongside Behija, Silke has played a key role in shaping and organizing our HR work in recent years. Her expertise and professional background make her the ideal successor.”
In her new position, Walz is responsible for HR as well as all the company's central services, including facility and travel management and the company restaurant, BISTRO'. Walz has been Head of HR at Marc O'Polo since September 2019. She led the HR acquisition, development, services and training in addition to the HR Business Partner Team, which is responsible for supporting executives. Prior to that, Walz spent more than 15 years in a variety of roles at the international media company Sky, as well as at Hubert Burda Media.
