BONJOUR LA FRANCE, SALUT PARIS!

Marc O'Polo grows business in France and makes Paris an international hub.

Marc O'Polo is significantly expanding its commitment in France. The casual lifestyle brand is opening a flagship store in Paris' trendy Marais district as well as a new hybrid showroom that will also serve as an international hub for global partners and buyers. Marc O'Polo was selected by long-standing partner Galeries Lafayette, the iconic French department store, as one of the main brands for its current “Urban Nature” sustainability campaign.

“Paris is the world’s capital of fashion. There is no better place to present ourselves to a broad and international audience, both partners and customers. On our way to becoming one of the leading sustainable casual lifestyle brands in the global premium segment, Paris is a central contact point. At the same time, France is an important market into which we want to further expand from the capital,” says Maximilian Böck, CEO of Marc O'Polo.

The flagship store at 13 rue des Archives will host a grand event tomorrow evening, attended by numerous guests from the fashion and lifestyle industry, as well as partners, influencers, and friends of the house. On Saturday, May 7, 2022, the doors will open to the public. Marc O'Polo will present menswear and womenswear, as well as shoes and accessories, across 250 square meters within the prominent neighborhood. The Parisian store is a perfect representation of the new
“The Scandinavian Studio” store concept, which combines Swedish heritage, modernity and innovation. Linear shapes and timeless colors, together with the design elements, offer a high-quality, spacious interior with a luxury approach, while large LED screens signal innovation and inspiration.

Located near the flagship store, the new hybrid showroom presents menswear and womenswear, shoes and accessories, as well as Marc O'Polo DENIM, which has a cultural impact that extends well beyond France. As part of its internationalisation strategy, Marc O'Polo will use the hybrid showroom as a global meeting place for international partners, buyers and retailers.

Simultaneously, Marc O'Polo is well-represented in French wholesale: the brand is one of the selected partners of Galeries Lafayette's nationwide sustainability campaign “Urban Nature" until the end of May. Highlights of the collaboration include an exclusive pop-up concept, nearly 100 square meters in size and located directly at the entrance of the Galeries Lafayette store on Boulevard Haussmann. Prominent shop windows will also present Marc O'Polo at this location. The linen collection will be presented here and is made with linen certified as Masters of Linen®–a trademark that guarantees every production step is carried out by European companies, from field to fabric. Marc O'Polo goes one step further and ensures that the entire value chain remains in Europe–from the field to the finished garment. The CO2 emissions generated during the production of the linen capsule were offset with the assistance of ClimatePartner, and the collection can be considered climate neutral.

Marc O'Polo has been represented in France for many years through its wholesale and concession business, its own online shop and major partners such as Galeries Lafayette and Printemps.
