Sustainable Products.

The use of natural materials is part of the brand core of MARC O’POLO. Since 2006, we have also been using more ecological textile fibers. Apart from dealing with the social challenges in the supply chain, we see it as our task to reduce the environmental impact in our production processes.

MARC O’POLO Modern Organic Product

Our organic products consist of fibers sourced from certified ecological farming. Their production adheres to internationally recognized directives for organic farming. Examples include EC regulations 834/2007 and 889/2008 (EU) und USDA NOP (USA).
Rules for the cultivation and harvesting of natural fibers include the following:

  • Use of crop rotation
  • Biological methods of pest control
  • No use of synthetic fertilizers
  • No use of genetically modified seed
  • No use of defoliants during harvesting

For its Modern Organic Products, MARC O’POLO sources yarn from suppliers who have been certified in accordance with the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) or the Organic Content Standard (OCS).

Blue Dot Items

Under the label Blue Dot Items, we distribute denim products with lower environmental impacts. In the washing process, max. 30 liters of water is consumed compared to an average of 100 liters for conventionally produced jeans. In addition, less chemicals were used for the “garment finish” of our Blue Dot Items.
