Responsibility in the Supply Chain.

Together with its suppliers and producers, MARC O’POLO aims for sustainable cooperation characterized by openness and confidence.

Worldwide, we cooperate with more than 100 suppliers and their producers. Most of them have been close partners for several years.
It is especially important for MARC O’POLO that its products be produced under humane working conditions, and that binding social standards are defined.

That is why MARC O’POLO is a member of the BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative). The BSCI aims at improving working conditions throughout the global supply chain.

BSCI Principles:

  • No child labour
  • Special protection for young workers
  • No bonded labour
  • No precarious employment
  • No discrimination
  • Appropriate wages
  • Decent working hours
  • The rights of freedom of association and right to collective bargaining
  • Protection of the environment
  • Ethical business behaviour

In order to monitor compliance with the BSCI Code of Conduct, audits are carried out by accredited independent third parties in the production companies (primarily in risky countries).

If you would like to know more about the Code of Conduct or the Business Social Compliance Initiative, please refer to our Sustainability Report or the BSCI homepage.
