Digitalisierung@MARC O’POLO: Get together

That Tuesday evening on 20 June 2017 in the MARC O’POLO headquarter entirely focused on digitalization. Despite summery temperatures, most colleagues found their way to the canteen where the kick-off to our event series “Digitalisation@MARC O’POLO” took place.

We enthusiastically took notice how strongly people in our company are interested in the issues digitalisation and digital innovation. A prior survey amongst employees in the headquarter in Stephanskirchen showed that we are on the right track: For the future, we want to create a forum to exchange on innovation and digitalisation issues together.

Following the intro by Felix Kreyer, Managing Director Online, and words on the overall corporate approach to the subject digitalisation our employees heard contributions from various departments. Projects to make use of our final customers’ feedback in product development or digital brand management were presented. During the closing talk, the introduction of the MARC O’POLO DI-Lab was announced – the new “home” for digital innovations and digitalisation at MARC O’POLO. That way, all digital issues shall be pooled and made available to our employees in the future. An own website will internally give information on upcoming events and current trends around the theme of digitalisation. At the same time, the rental of spaces in the Impact Hub in Munich for providing a co-working space for our employees was announced.

True to the MARC O’POLO spirit the event was completed with a call on our employees: Anyone who enjoys and is interested in the mentioned subjects is welcome to join in!

The shared kick-off Digitalisation@MARC O’POLO: Get together winded up in an easy atmosphere with snacks and drinks and offered space for further questions. We are looking forward to the coming thematic events.
